Tube & Pipe Cutting
Cutting a pipe refers to the process of cutting a piece of pipe to a specific length or shape. This is usually done using our bandsaws.
When cutting pipes, it is important to use a blade that is designed for cutting the correct metal, i.e. stainless or nickel alloy and to make sure the pipe is securely clamped in place to prevent it from moving while you are cutting.
After the cut has been made, it may be necessary to deburr the cut end of the pipe to remove any sharp edges or burrs that may have been created during the cutting process.
Intamet currently operate a number of saws which are used for a number of different jobs including multi cut and mitre cut jobs.
Not only do we have the facility to cut our tubes the conventional way but we also offer laser cutting of tubes from 12.7mm - 203.2mm diameter which gives a much more accurate and cleaner cut.
